SISLab - Unibas | Material testing
Il Laboratorio di Materiali e Strutture dell’Università degli studi della Basilicata ha svolto un ruolo sempre più significativo nel panorama nazionale ed internazionale al punto da divenire uno dei soci fondatori della Rete dei Laboratori Universitari di Ingegneria Sismica (ReLUIS), svolgendo la funzione di Centro di Competenza per il Dipartimento della Protezione Civile della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri.

SisLab is capable of performing testing on different materials used in the civil, structural, and mechanical engineering sectors in accordance with the required technical code or standard.

SisLab performs testing on:

traditional materials (concrete, masonry and stone elements, steel reinforcement, metals)

assembled materials (laminated timber, masonry columns and panels)

and innovative materials (composites and elastomeric materials, PTFE, Shape Memory Alloys)

SisLab also provides the capability of thermal chamber tests for the investigation temperature dependence of materials and artificial rapid ageing oven testing.
